If you could step away from your life for one hour, where would you go? No need to ask for time off, no need to travel far, no need for any reason at all. Just let your body exist in a different way for a while: walk a little, look around, sit down, maybe even zone out. Jetavana / Anāthapiṇḍada's Park has no stage in the traditional sense, and no seats for an audience. The performance takes place inside a hotel that is actually in operation. The lobby, the corridors, the gym, the laundry room, the guest rooms... the hotel's own spaces are the theatre itself. You don't sit and watch — you're given a room key and enter as a 'temporary guest,' walking among performers, sounds, and spaces. For this one hour, the hotel is still a hotel — but its rooms, corridors, sounds, bodies, and identities all begin, through this wandering, to surface another kind of meaning.
