After the universe was born, the first two humans opened their eyes. As the world's first man and first woman, they were innocent and confused. They tried to understand, tried to dwell upon this vast, elusive earth. To give meaning to the chaos, they tried to make rules, tried to depend on each other, tried to create — but instead of finding answers, they wandered into a long, absurd, delirious hallucination. When they woke, they finally saw clearly the question standing before them: in this vast and silent universe, how is a person supposed to live? This is a physical comedy about existence. For half the play, we have no lines; for the other half, we dream together of hundreds of thousands of years of human history. Bearing witness together to the wonder, sorrow, and astonishment of new life, we hope to explore with you all those puzzles — yours, mine, ours, humanity's — questions as eternal and beautiful as riddles.
