Chen Shi watched her family fall from wealth to ruin, growing up branded as the 'deadbeat's daughter,' shunned and looked down on by her peers — but she refused to bow to fate. Inspired by her quiet, resilient grandfather, she swallows her pride and starts with one small deal at a time. Storms, dark nights, and years of bullying weigh on her like a burden, pushing her again and again toward giving up. But her grandfather's silent example and her own stubborn spirit finally pull her free of the dark undertow of memory, and she breaks through into the light.
